Ben Hinks

Ben Hinks is the founder of BH Sail Coach. He is currently campaigning in the 470 Class for Australia, aiming to gain selection to compete at the Olympics in LA 2028. He hopes his coaching will skill up the next generation of sailors in Australia, as well as a way to give back to the sailing community. 

An accomplished sailor he has won multiple national titles, as well as represented Australia at numerous international regattas. On the coaching side he has over 3 years experience coaching at the Brighton & Seacliff Yacht club, covering the Int 420 and ILCA fleets. In 2024 he coached at the ILCA Masters World Championships, as well as supporting sailors at various national championships.

With the introduction of Online Coaching sessions provides an opportunity for a wider range of athletes to be reached by Ben, whilst still allowing him to continue to learn and compete on the international stage.

BH Sail Coach also offers on water sessions and regatta support where available. When Ben isn’t training or competing he hopes to be able to provide coaching support to athletes, clubs and class associations around Australia.
